Role :

Effectively monitor commercial portfolio of new and existing commercial loans and facilities to ensure that they are compliant with established covenants and requirements under applicable loan documents, and consistent with the Federal regulations and Board of Director Policies, procedures, and standards. The function will include working with our lending partner, as well as working internally reviewing, commercial loans post-closing on an ongoing basis with the intent of mitigating the inherent risk in the portfolio.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities :

Monitor Commercial Loan portfolio to determine when annual reviews are due. Track and follow up on any missing paperwork with members or vendors. Provide updates and reporting on any delinquent annual reviews as well as efforts exhausted to collect the necessary documents.

Monitor loans located in a flood zone or loans that have recently been remapped. Verify coverage is in place and at the appropriate level. If required work with Loan Servicing Department to have flood insurance force placed. Maintain compliance with all state, and federal regulations as well as CU policies and procedure regarding flood insurance.

Review all transactions and monthly remits from Lending Partner. Verify payments are applied correctly and that CU is being paid appropriate amount of interest on all accounts. Additionally monitor fees are being accessed in a appropriate manner and rebates are being correctly paid.

At the direction of AVP Commercial Loan Officer assist with gathering data extracts for monthly and quarterly regulatory reporting for HMDA, CRA, LID and call report. This will include attending and taking minutes for the monthly MBL Committee.

Maintain tickers and collaborate with Borrowers and Lending Partners to secure timely financial and loan level updates to facilitate effective monitoring of assigned portfolio and ensure compliance with financial and other covenants.

Field communications from members and work towards fulfilling their requests. Escalate more complex matters in order to enhance turn times.

At the direction of AVP Commercial Loan Officer assist with gathering of documents for the purpose of audits and exams.

Responsible for document retention for all new and existing Commercial Loans. Verifying all required documents are readily available should they be needed and create appropriate electronic filing system when physical paper files are not required.

Other job-related duties, as assigned.

This is a hybrid position and required 1 or 2 days per week on-site in Lowell, MA
