Function : A speech-language pathologist (SLP) in a school setting supports students' communication needs by assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. They work closely with teachers, families, and other specialists to help students develop effective communication skills, which are essential for academic success and social development. SLPs may provide direct therapy, consult on classroom strategies, and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) to support students with speech and language challenges.
