We’re seeking a proactive and detail-driven Telecom QA / QC Field Supervisor to oversee quality assurance and control processes in underground telecom installation projects. This role ensures that field operations meet project specifications, safety standards, and client expectations. This is a field role based in Schoolcraft, MI, with a requirement of being at the project site regularly. This is not a desk job. RLM Underground will provide a company vehicle, a fleet fuel credit card, a laptop, and a phone stipend.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct on-site inspections and audits to verify compliance with telecom installation standards
Review fiber splicing, conduit placement, handhole settings, and related construction elements
Document and report project progress, non-conformances, and corrective actions
Communicate with project managers, field teams, and clients to resolve quality-related concerns
Maintain accurate records, including redline documentation and photo logs
Support permit closeouts and ensure alignment with local regulations

Requirements :

3+ years of experience in telecom construction or utility installation (supervisory experience preferred)

Strong knowledge of underground utility standards, fiber optics, and QA / QC methodologies

Ability to interpret construction drawings, specs, and permits

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Willingness to travel throughout Michigan

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

OSHA certification and telecom-specific training are a plus
