Position Description :
The Sunflower Asset Management solution is a web-based and mobile enterprise asset management software tool used by federal agencies, contractors, national labs, state and local government organizations, and higher educational institutes. We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work collaboratively with a geographically diverse team and client base to implement, support, and develop customizations and extensions for the Sunflower software solution. The successful candidate will interact with CGI Federal and client technical and functional specialists to achieve software system implementation and maintenance goals.
This position is located in El Paso, Texas.
Your future duties and responsibilities :
Duties include system design and development tasks such as custom code, system integration, data migration, and code deployment. The Senior Software Engineer works both independently and as part of a team to meet deliverables in an efficient and timely manner. Assumes quality assurance responsibility and necessary documentation of assigned tasks. Works aggressively to develop his / her technical skills, learns from more experienced team members, and shares knowledge with less experienced team members. Develops a basic understanding of the functional business processes and requirements that the software implementation is designed to address. All team members receive Sunflower software and asset management training prior to providing customer support.
Work directly with clients to understand key elements of their business processes and work onsite to implement and operate Sunflower’s software products and service offerings as an individual contributor or member of a small team.
