Independent Field Adjuster (1099 Contractor - Memphis, TN.) Who We Are

As a 1099 Independent Field Adjuster , you will manage your own workload, inspect property damages, and provide timely, fair, and accurate claims assessments . If you thrive in a fast-paced, self-driven environment and have a passion for field adjusting, we want to work with you!

What You’ll Do

As an Independent Field Adjuster , you will :

• Independently investigate, evaluate, and resolve daily property claims following client and company standards.
• Inspect damaged properties , assess the loss, and prepare estimates using Xactimate and Symbility .
• Determine claim-related damage , confirm policy coverage, and make recommendations accordingly.
• Set and manage reserves per carrier guidelines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, repair procedures, and market pricing .
• Submit reports on severe incidents, insured-to-value (ITV) findings, and other necessary documentation.
• Deliver exceptional customer service , ensuring professionalism in all communications.
• Manage your own schedule, assignments, and client expectations while meeting industry service standards.

Who You Are

To succeed as an Independent Field Adjuster , you should :

Hold a valid property adjuster license for your state of operation.

Have at least 2-3 years of experience handling property claims.

Be proficient in Xactimate and Symbility estimating software.

Have strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills .

Maintain general construction knowledge to assess damages accurately.

Own or have access to necessary equipment (ladder, safety gear, measuring tools, etc.).

Have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Be physically capable of climbing ladders, entering attics / crawlspaces, and working on roofs .

Maintain professional liability insurance if required.

Have strong time management skills to handle multiple claims efficiently.

Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service .
