Job Schedule : 9 / 80 : Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off

Job Description :

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our IT team. As a Network Engineer you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include configuring network equipment monitoring performance troubleshooting issues and ensuring network security.

Essential Functions :

  • Configure and deploy network solutions based on business requirements.
  • Set up and maintain routers switches firewalls and other network devices.
  • Maintain equipment inventory IP schemas and network diagrams
  • Implement security protocols firewalls and access controls
  • Support ICD 503 Risk Mitigation Framework (RMF) processes by patching hardening and / or upgrading systems as appropriate.
  • Travel for this position can be up to 20% annually.
  • Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 35 pounds across campus for various needs.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Top Secret / SCI
  • CompTIA Security CE Certification

    • Preferred Additional Skills :

  • CCNA or Network
  • Experience with DOD encryption devices.
  • CompTIA A Certification.
  • Self-motivated able to switch tasks easily work independently.
  • Experience with the configuration and ability to manage Solarwinds.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
