Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division in Roy, UT is seeking a Security Manager to lead the advanced programs security team.
Roles and responsibilities include :
- Lead a team of security professionals to ensure consistent application of the leadership characteristics that are expected of all employees within the organization in a high intensity, fast paced environment.
- Develops and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.
- Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations.
- Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
- Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials.
- Develops and implements security education program.
- Oversees internal security audits.
- Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
- Provides direction to security team members to assist with the execution of their statement of work.
- Assist with team members' professional development and growth.
- Ensuring employee engagement across the team, Collaboration across teams within the Security organization.
- Providing leadership, guidance, and professional development / mentoring to professionals at all levels.
- Developing and implementing security policy and standards across the program enterprise.
- Ensuring all program performance objectives as well as key milestones and deliverables are met.
- Managing a security budget within an established target.
- Manage program security compliance and operations across multiple functions, Physical Security, COMSEC, Investigations and Document Control Management.
Additional responsibilities include :
Proposal generation : Generating quick turn requests for proposal (RFP), requests for information (FRI) and solicitation contracts.Metrics and reporting : Provide regular updates and metrics to leadership, highlighting accomplishments and trends from the Sector Security team.Communication forums : Plan and oversee regular communication forums to keep the Sector Security team informed and engaged on key issues, accomplishments, and upcoming initiatives.This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance across all sector operations. Strategic oversight and collaboration with enterprise and sector leadership are essential to ensure a unified and effective security posture for the organization.
Basic qualifications include :
8 years of security experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 6 years of security experience with a Master's Degree; an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degreeMust have an active DoD TOP SECRET Clearance with an investigation date current within the last 6 years or enrolled in the DoD Continuous Vetting ProgramMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business needStrong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external customersComprehensive knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program and solid working knowledge of Special Access ProgramsDemonstrated experience in making critical security program and management decisions for dynamic organization that support high value contracts across a wide US Government customer spectrumPreferred qualifications include :
Proven ability to perform and manage diverse and dispersed security programs and teams across multiple disciplines (entire program security spectrum), to include Program / industrial Security, Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) duties, Information / Cyber Security, COMSEC, Physical Security, Personnel Security, International SecurityProven ability and experience working with US Government security leadership in DOD and SAP security programsKnowledge and experience with ICD 705 construction and accreditation processesDemonstrated experience in development of complex security plans and proposal writingExperience and direct participation (working group and / or leadership positions) with Government / Industry Security Organizations (ISWG, NDIA, AIA, NCMS, etc.)Proven experience in planning and managing staffing and hiring processes for large teams, to include partnerships with HR, Talent Acquisition, hiring managers and program management leadershipPrimary Level Salary Range : $115,000.00 - $172,400.00
