A well-respected defense firm in Chicago, IL is actively seeking an experienced Insurance Defense / Insurance Coverage Attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience to join their growing team. Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense and / or insurance coverage. You will independently manage a diverse litigation caseload while working closely with clients, carriers, and internal team members.

Key Responsibilities

Manage insurance defense and coverage files from inception through resolution

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal briefs, and coverage opinions

Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances

Analyze policies and provide clear, well-supported coverage recommendations

Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel

Collaborate with partners and colleagues in a supportive, team-based environment

Qualifications

5+ years of insurance defense and / or insurance coverage experience

Strong litigation skills, including depositions and motions practice

Ability to manage files independently

Excellent research, writing, and communication skills

Active Illinois Bar license required
