Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Administrator to manage all aspects of bi-weekly payroll for approximately 300 employees across multiple store locations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and completing various payroll-related filings and reports. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently on recurring and special payroll projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll using Thomson Reuters’ MyPay Solutions (cloud-based platform; training provided).
  • Maintain and update employee records across all store locations.
  • Prepare and submit state new-hire reports.
  • File federal, state, and local payroll taxes and quarterly payroll tax returns.
  • Complete bi-weekly workers’ compensation reports and assist with annual workers’ comp audits.
  • Prepare and file annual federal and state payroll reports, including W-2s.
  • Support special payroll-related projects as assigned.
  • Qualifications
  • Prior experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
  • Experience with cloud-based payroll systems is a plus (training on MyPay Solutions will be provided).
