Job Description

American Traveler seeks an Occupational Therapist with inpatient acute care experience and an active Texas OT license for an 8am-5pm shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an inpatient acute care hospital setting
  • 40 hours per week, 8am-5pm day shift schedule
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • No local candidates permitted; must live at least 100 miles away
  • Will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop age-appropriate plans of care, and document treatments accurately
  • Position requires the ability to respond effectively to changing work assignments
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Two manager or supervisor references preferred verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
  • AHA certifications only accepted

    • Requirements

  • Active Texas Occupational Therapist license required
  • Degree from an A.O.T.A. accredited Occupational Therapy program; Bachelor's required, Master's highly desired
  • Minimum 2 years recent OT experience in a U.S. hospital acute care setting
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • CPI certification mandated by position
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must have a valid U.S. Social Security number for consideration
