Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel is a regional center for the care of infants, children and teens. We offer unrivaled pediatric expertise in a state-of-the-art facility designed exclusively for children. From routine care to the most complex cases, pediatricians and families trust us to provide the most advanced medical and surgical care for kids.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is dedicated to caring for critically ill and premature infants. All care is evidence-based, designed and continually updated according to national and international best practices, and represents the leading edge of knowledge on how to best care for fragile newborns. We care for infants born up to 16 weeks early to 28 days old including premature babies, multiples and the very ill. We even have babies weighing under a pound. Responsibilities :

• Provides support and managerial assistance to the Nurse Manager in overseeing daily unit operations, including :
• Staffing and scheduling
• Orientation and onboarding
• Education and competency assessment
• Budget monitoring
• Establishing and maintaining patient care standards
• Promoting evidence-based practice
• Implementing quality improvement initiatives
• Acts as a key resource and backup support for unit staff and departmental operations
• Facilitates departmental workflow in collaboration with the Charge Nurse
• Serves as the primary resource for staff and the organization in the Manager's absence
• Reports directly to the Nurse Manager and assists in overall department management
