SummaryCandidates will be expected to teach within the dental assisting clinicals and labs.

Candidates should be passionate educators and practitioners who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st century learners who aspire to practice in the respective field.

Candidate should have current knowledge of dental assisting procedures, duties, and expanded functions.

Minimum Education :

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree in Dental Assisting or a related field.
  • Graduated from a CODA-accredited dental assisting program.
  • Preferred accredited program within the State of Florida or completed expanded functions course recognized by the Florida State board of dentistry.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum Experience / Training :

  • Experience required. A minimum of two years of experience is preferred.
  • Prior college teaching experience is preferred. Willingness to complete teaching methodology training.
  • The successful candidate must have a background in and current knowledge of dental assisting procedures, duties, and a commitment to teaching.
  • The successful candidate must have recent experience in four-handed dentistry principles.
  • The successful candidate must be willing and able to teach in both the traditional face-to-face and blended (hybrid) format.

  • Active Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) Certification
  • Active CPR Certification
