Responsibilities

  • Assist Account Managers with daily policy processing
  • Back up receptionist and direct phone calls as needed
  • Email / Mail Policies, Endorsements and Auto- ID cards to clients
  • Process Certificates of Insurance in a timely manner
  • Request corrections from carriers as needed
  • Maintain accurate and organized client files in agency management system
  • Monitor and follow up on pending documents from carriers and clients
  • Scan and upload incoming documents into client files

Requirement

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree a plus)
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in insurance or administrative support preferred, especially in a commercial lines setting
  • Basic understanding of insurance documents and terminology (or willingness to learn)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Comfortable navigating agency management systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Professional demeanor when communicating with clients and insurance carriers
  • Willingness to take direction and support multiple Account Managers as needed
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license preferred
  • If not currently licensed, must be willing and able to obtain a P&C license within the first 90 days of employment
