As a Technical Sales Engineer you’ll serve as a key technical resource and sales partner for OEMs, industrial distributors, and system integrators across North America. You’ll combine your engineering know-how with strong communication and relationship-building skills to deliver smart, customized solutions that help customers succeed.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and develop relationships with OEMs, distributors, and system integrators in the mechatronics and robotics space.
- Build and nurture leads across the U.S. and Canada — from first contact through post-sale support.
- Conduct research, cold calls, and outreach to discover new business opportunities.
- Lead technical product presentations and engaging “lunch & learn” sessions.
- Manage inbound leads from digital campaigns, trade shows, and e-commerce.
- Provide pre-sales application support, helping customers find creative technical solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Support account management, quotes, and training initiatives.
- Participate in trade shows and industry events to grow brand awareness and capture new leads.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electrical Engineering (required).
- 2+ years of professional experience; 3–5 years in automation, motion control, or robotics preferred.
- Experience with inside sales, outbound prospecting, or customer engagement.
- Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Infor, ZoomInfo, or CRM / ERP systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong communication, presentation, and follow-up skills.
- A goal-oriented, energetic, and self-motivated approach to work.
