Order Entry Specialist

The Order Entry Specialist plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer orders. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to support smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Carol Stream, IL.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter customer orders into the ERP system, verifying product specifications, pricing, shipping details, and billing information.
• Review incoming orders for completeness and resolve discrepancies by coordinating with sales, customer service, and production teams.
• Maintain up-to-date records of order status, changes, and customer communications to ensure transparency and traceability.
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding order confirmations, delivery timelines, and any issues affecting fulfillment.
• Collaborate with inventory and logistics teams to ensure product availability and timely shipment.
• Assist in generating reports related to order volume, accuracy, and fulfillment metrics.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and contributing to system enhancements.
