Position Details Title Lecturer in Finance Appointment Status Non-Tenure Track Department IU South Bend Accounting and Finance Location South Bend Position Summary The Department of Accounting, Finance, and International Business at Indiana University South Bend invites applications for a Lecturer in Finance. This is a 10-month faculty appointment to begin January 1, 2026. The teaching load will include 12 credit hours (typically four courses) each fall and spring of undergraduate and / or graduate courses in finances. Faculty may also be required to teach evening, weekend, off-site, and / or online courses. Summer teaching is voluntary and compensated separately. Lecturers are also expected to participate in service activities to the department, school, campus, or community, such as regularly attending and participating in faculty meetings and serving on relevant committees.

  • Master’s (or higher) degree from an AACSB (or equivalent) accredited school in business or a closely related field.
  • Teaching experience in finance.
  • Strong ability to effectively teach a diverse range of finance courses.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of different software, especially Microsoft Suite.
  • A demonstrated ability to teach both face-to-face and online education formats.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting curriculum development, experiential learning, and program development in the area of finance.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple sections of finance courses, ensuring consistency in content delivery and learning outcomes.
  • Evidence of a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Proven ability to promote the finance major, fostering student interest and emphasizing its relevance in the business world.
  • Active engagement with the academic and professional community.
