DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
Reports To : Executive Director
Supervises : Financial Manager, Human Resources Associate, Facilities Manager, CQI Analyst, IT Associate
Requirements :
- Bachelors degree in business, finance, or a related field; an advanced degree, such as a Master of Business Administration is preferred.
Preferred Functional Competencies Skills, Knowledge, and Experience :
Five years of financial and operational management experience, including fund and grant accounting, compliance and reporting with a budget of at least $2 million.Five years experience in a leadership capacity, successfully managing and developing a strong team.Non-profit ExperienceA demonstrated track record of successful business operations management and project management.Knowledge of and experience with Texas Workforce Commission personnel requirements.Knowledge of payroll procedures and Federal and State reporting requirements.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as working with accounting and payroll software and information management.Primary Purpose : The Director of Business Administration will work to optimize business systems to support the health of the organization and to increase efficiency and effectiveness, with the purpose of supporting Hope Havens missional impact in the lives of youth and families. This individual leads in stewarding the organizations resources.
The Director of Business Operations will serve on the Executive Directors Leadership Team and will work closely with the Board of Directors.
Compensation Status : Full-Time Salaried (Exempt)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Provide leadership oversight and administrative direction to the Finance area, developing and executing Hope Havens financial management strategy and providing oversight for accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, banking relationships, and all other financial matters.Provide leadership oversight and administrative direction to the Human Resources area, enhancing organizational performance in recruitment, retention, payroll, workforce development, training and legal compliance to support the people and culture that drives Hope Havens mission.Oversee the Quality Assurance function of the organization, ensuring that appropriate data is measured and utilized to improve services and maximize missional impact.Oversee the Information Technology function by providing oversight, direction and coordination related to systems and networks, ensuring effective technology support and security across the organization.Oversee the administrative property management function to include, but not limited to, asset management, preventative maintenance, inventory management, upkeep and repairs of all properties.Develop standards to measure and evaluate Hope Havens financial and operational performance and report results to Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.Direct the development of short and long-range budgets based on Hope Havens strategic needs in support of its mission and vision.Develop, recommend, and implement operational policies and procedures for all areas of responsibility.Serve as an organization-wide leader and member of the executive leadership team.
