Family Physicians Clinic is a multi-physician, privately owned family practice office. We have been in operation since 1967 and continue to operate from the same location since its inception. We are currently looking for a CMA to work in our medium-complexity laboratory. The successful candidate will have experience in phlebotomy, xray, ekg, point of care testing and LIS ordering comprehension.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Certified Medical Assistant located in McAllen, TX. The Certified Medical Assistant will perform various day-to-day tasks including assisting laboratory providers with patient blood draws, point-of-care testing and providing patient care. The role also involves understanding medical terminology and ensuring the medical office operates effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Medical Assisting and Patient Care skills
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Medical Office operations
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR certification is a plus
• Ability to work well in a team environment
