Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Kitchen Manager to join our team in the food processing industry. The ideal candidate will optimize manufacturing processes, ensure compliance with FDA & USDA regulations, and implement food safety standards. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual in English and Spanish ideal; some Spanish required
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation and production
- Responsible for consistency of product coming out of the kitchen
- Able to identify problems and come up with permanent solutions
- Write detailed procedures, train and enforce those procedures
- Oversees and approves training and development of kitchen staff
- Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with FDA & USDA regulations and HACCP standards throughout production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes and technologies.
- Utilize basic math skills for process adjustments and quality control measures calculations.
- Improve production workflows.
- Train staff on proper food safety, sanitation, and equipment operation procedures.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues in production equipment and coordinate repairs as necessary.
Qualifications
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Minimum 2 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry.Minimum 2 years of management experience.Familiarity with FDA & USDA regulations, food safety practices, and HACCP principles is essential.Strong mechanical knowledgeAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.Prior experience in a food processing plant is highly desirable.Job Type : Temp to Perm
Pay rate : $45-$48 per hour
