Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Kitchen Manager to join our team in the food processing industry. The ideal candidate will optimize manufacturing processes, ensure compliance with FDA & USDA regulations, and implement food safety standards. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Bilingual in English and Spanish ideal; some Spanish required

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation and production
  • Responsible for consistency of product coming out of the kitchen
  • Able to identify problems and come up with permanent solutions
  • Write detailed procedures, train and enforce those procedures
  • Oversees and approves training and development of kitchen staff
  • Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA & USDA regulations and HACCP standards throughout production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes and technologies.
  • Utilize basic math skills for process adjustments and quality control measures calculations.
  • Improve production workflows.
  • Train staff on proper food safety, sanitation, and equipment operation procedures.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues in production equipment and coordinate repairs as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience.
  • Familiarity with FDA & USDA regulations, food safety practices, and HACCP principles is essential.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Prior experience in a food processing plant is highly desirable.
