SH-732 Strategic Account Manager - Government Healthcare, Carmel, IN
Summary : Position Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Account Manager to drive sales initiatives within the public sector and healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with state agencies such as the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA), the Indiana Department of Health, and other related entities. This role is critical for developing and executing strategies to secure contracts, build lasting relationships, and expand our footprint in the public healthcare market.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales & Business Development : Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within state and local government healthcare agencies.
- Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and procurement officers within target agencies (e.g., HHS, FSSA, Dept. of Health, Child Services).
- Navigate Complex Procurement : Master and navigate the state's intricate RFP, RFI, and RFQ processes, contract vehicles (e.g., state term contracts), and compliance requirements.
- Market Expertise : Maintain a deep understanding of the public sector healthcare landscape, including budget cycles, procurement processes (RFP, RFI, RFQ), regulatory changes, and strategic initiatives.
- Solution Selling : Effectively articulate the value proposition of our products / services, aligning them with the specific needs, challenges, and goals of government healthcare clients.
- Pipeline Management : Manage a full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure, maintaining an accurate and robust pipeline in our CRM system.
- Contract Negotiation : Lead the negotiation process for state contracts, working in conjunction with legal and finance teams to secure favorable terms.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with marketing, product development, and implementation teams to ensure client needs are met and market feedback is incorporated.
Qualifications & Required Experience
Required :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field.Minimum of 5+ years of proven B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years specifically working with government healthcare clients.Demonstrable experience and existing relationships with Indiana state agencies (e.g., FSSA, Indiana Department of Health, managed care entities contracting with the state).Deep understanding of government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements.Strong knowledge of the Indiana Medicaid program and public health initiatives.Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.Self-motivated with a proven ability to work independently and meet ambitious quotas.Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamic) and the Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred :
