1787 Legal Group is seeking a motivated First-Party Insurance Litigation Attorney to join our expanding firm.
Our firm is dedicated to delivering exceptional legal services and unwavering advocacy for commercial property policyholders. With deep roots in justice and client-centered representation, our team of experienced attorneys brings extensive expertise in the first-party insurance field. We handle complex commercial insurance claim disputes, provide strategic counsel on general insurance matters, and represent portfolio owner clients in claims against their insurance carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cases from inception through trial, including negotiations with insurance defense counsel and adjusters.
- Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy, discovery, and client communication.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda related to case law and procedural issues.
- Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
- Review and analyze insurance policies, coverage opinions, and related legal documents.
- Support case management, organization, and document preparation.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active admission to the Arizona State Bar.Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency with LexisNexis and / or Westlaw.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Skills
Prior experience in first-party insurance litigation or related fields.Familiarity with bad faith insurance claims and coverage analysis.Experience with electronic discovery and document management systems.
