Job Description : PHP Web Developer

Position Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated PHP Web Developer with strong backend or LAMP Stack development expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building robust scalable and secure web applications and a proven track record of working across the full development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop test and maintain high-quality web applications and APIs using PHP and the LAMP stack.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers front-end developers and project managers to deliver seamless and user-friendly solutions.

Design and implement database schemas optimize queries and ensure the integrity and security of application data.

Debug troubleshoot and resolve software issues and performance bottlenecks.

Write clean maintainable and efficient code following best practices and industry standards.

Participate in code reviews testing and deployments to ensure a high-quality product.

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in web development to improve processes and implement innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications :

Strong proficiency in PHP and extensive experience with backend development.

Solid understanding of the LAMP stack (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) and its configuration and optimization.

Experience working with relational databases including database design and performance tuning.

Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g. HTML CSS JavaScript) and their interaction with backend systems.

Proficient understanding of version control systems such as Git.

Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with frameworks such as Laravel Symfony or CodeIgniter.

Knowledge of cloud services (e.g. AWS Azure or Google Cloud) and deployment pipelines.

Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.

Understanding of security principles and best practices in web application development.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
