Description :
The focus of the Parts Manager is to develop and maintain an environment that promotes a high level of Customer Enthusiasm, Employee Enthusiasm, Financial Performance, and Market Share.
Responsibilities : Achieving targeted goals in parts sales and inventory control.
Functions : Essential duties and responsibilities include the following - other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training parts employees
- Plan, assign, and direct parts personnel
- Appraise performance
- Coach and mentor employees
- Address complaints and resolve problems
- Complete a summary of daily sales
- Manage parts inventory
- Confer with service manager for required shop inventory
- Approve parts inventory purchases and stay informed of all of the latest innovations
- Liaison between the dealership and suppliers
- Set stock levels and selection of items for weekly orders
- Inventory control including replenishment, stocking, cycle counting, and physical inventory
- Flexibility to work outside normal work hours / weekends, as required
- Communicate well with management from Sales and Service departments
- Responsible for the profitability of parts department
- Responsible for marketing parts and accessories

Minimum of 2 years in dealership leadership position(s)High School Diploma or the equivalentProfessional referencesValid Driver's License with a clean, insurable, driving recordSatisfactory results of a pre-employment background screeningPhysical Requirements : While performing duties of this position, the Parts Manager is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
