Medical Consulting Group (MCG), based in Springfield, MO, is looking for an on-site, full-time Website Designer with a foundation in UX / UI design to join our creative services team. In this role, you’ll work directly with our Information Technology Director and Senior Web Developer, contributing to the planning, design, and implementation of modern, responsive websites for medical clients across the country.
This is a hands-on, collaborative position ideal for a designer who wants to expand their skills in real-world web development workflows and grow within a supportive team environment.
Note : This is an on-site position at our Springfield, MO office. Remote work is not available and need not apply.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with the creative team to translate design concepts into user-friendly, responsive websites.
- Create UX deliverables including wireframes, user flows, mockups, and prototypes.
- Help design visually engaging, on-brand websites that are accessible, mobile-first, and optimized for performance.
- Assist with preparing assets and layouts for development handoff and implementation.
- Support the ongoing maintenance, updates, and content changes on WordPress websites.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure functionality aligns with the intended user experience.
- Use tools such as Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics to evaluate user behavior and inform design decisions.
- Contribute to design critiques, team planning sessions, and brainstorming meetings.
- Take direction and feedback from Information Technology Director and Senior Web Developer to refine designs and improve work.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in web design, UX / UI, digital media, or a related field.2+ years of experience in web and UX / UI design (agency or in-house).A portfolio that demonstrates a strong understanding of responsive website design, layout, and UX principles.Experience with WordPress, including content editing, page building, and plugin usage (Beaver Builder knowledge very helpful).Proficiency in design tools like Adobe XD, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.Basic understanding of front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS) and how design interacts with development.Familiarity with accessibility best practices and mobile-first design.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret user data from Clarity or similar UX tools.Strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and the ability to work under direction as part of a team.Detail-oriented with a good eye for design, layout, and imagery selection.Compensation is competitive and is based on the experience and skill set of the successful candidate.
