Job Description :
PATIENT POPULATION : The patient population served can be all patients including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and newborn. This also includes services which affect facility staff, physicians, visitors, vendors and the general public. POSITION SUMMARY : The Manager of Graduate Medical Education (GME), in collaboration with the DIO, and GMEC, provides oversight of the training programs, including oversight of the GME Staff, Residents and inclusive budget management, staffing levels and performance evaluations. Conducts regular audits of New Innovations to ensure trainee files contain accurate and complete information needed for the cost report. This is inclusive of : rotation schedules, Medical School diplomas, ECFMG certificates, dates of enrollment, trainee demographics, duty hours and location for trainee hours. Works directly with Program Coordinator to pull requested information, update files and adjust records to ensure compliance with CMS requirements. Will function as point person with ACGME surveys and reports. Must be able to work normal / scheduled working hours to include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call. Agrees to participate, as directed, in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours. As a designated disaster service worker you are required to assist in times of need pursuant to the California Emergency Services Act. (Gov't. Code 3100, 3102)

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE : This position must be able to perform all essential functions listed below. A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or 5 years of management experience is required. Experience in Graduate Medical Education programs is required. Experience in Immigration Law as it relates to J1-Visas and H1B Visas is preferred. Grant writing experience is also preferred. Highly developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to function independently, use discretion, work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency in ERAS, NRMP, ACGME WebADS and web-based residency management system(s). Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality. Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Exercise good judgement, discretion and diplomacy in communications. Ability to make decisions timely and independently or to escalate issues as needed.
