Job Position : Plasma Operator

Location : Catoosa, OK 74015

Pay Rate : $24.00 / hr

Shift : 6 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM, Monday–Friday

Type : Temp to Hire

We are currently seeking a skilled Plasma Operator for a well-established manufacturing company in Catoosa, OK , that specializes in shell and tube heat exchangers , pressure vessels , towers , and other heat transfer components . The Plasma Operator will work with an advanced 8-axis Voortman CNC plasma cutting system , playing a critical role in ensuring material is accurately processed for fabrication.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate an 8-axis Voortman plasma robot using both console and handheld remotes
  • Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
  • Make accurate decisions to ensure material is processed correctly for fabrication needs
  • Measure parts using tape measures , dial calipers , micrometers , and dial indicators
  • Remove slag using grinders , chatter guns , and files
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move and load materials
  • Perform light fabrication tasks including welding , cutting , torching , and drilling for maintenance and root fixes

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of CNC plasma machine experience
  • 1+ year in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of steel fabrication processes
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and communicate with robot support as needed
  • Safety-focused , dependable , and willing to work overtime
