What You Get To Do :

The Engineering Drafter provides critical engineering support for Elemental LED's award-winning portfolio of lighting products, dimmers, and drivers. This position works closely with Design and Manufacturing Teams to develop and finalize product documentation for existing and newly developed products. Supports all Sustaining Engineering functions creating CAD models / drawings, processing Engineering Change Orders, and product specifications.

Challenge Yourself – The Specifics :

  • Assist engineering in creating documentation : product specifications, sheet metal fabrication drawings, product assembly drawings, cabling drawings, part specification and source control drawings, and electromechanical assembly drawings using SolidWorks
  • Provide minor support to the Production floor (any CAD issues that do not require Engineering to review)
  • Develop 3D models of new electrical and mechanical components for use in final assemblies
  • Export existing 3D models and drawings from CAD software to PDF or other formats
  • Makes sure that all drawings are accurate and meet standards
  • Develop customer drawings, models, and other documentation

Qualifications

You Have a Unique Combination of Skills, Talents, and Mindset, Including Many of the Following :

  • AA / AS degree in Computer Aided Software Design, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of SolidWorks modeling and engineering drawing experience
  • Intermediate drafting and design skills
  • Experience in basic document control, SolidWorks PDM experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of drafting standards for mechanical parts and assemblies
