Church Receptionist And Ministry Assistant
Grace Fellowship in West Palm Beach is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Church Receptionist and Ministry Assistant to serve as the welcoming face of our church and provide essential support to our ministry teams. This full-time role combines administrative responsibilities with ministry support, requiring excellent organizational skills, a heart for service, and a commitment to the mission and values of Grace Fellowship.
Receptionist Duties
- Front Desk Management : Greet visitors, members, and guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming environment at the church office.
- Communication : Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle inquiries, directing them to appropriate staff or ministries.
- Office Administration : Manage office supplies, maintain a tidy reception area, and coordinate incoming and outgoing mail.
- Scheduling : Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and facility usage for church events and activities.
Ministry Assistant Duties
Event Support : Assist in planning and coordinating church events, including services, community outreach initiatives, and special programs.Database Management : Maintain and update church membership records (specifically groups ministry), attendance tracking, and volunteer schedules using church management software. Input data from connect cards and help in creating workflows.Ministry Support : Provide administrative support to pastors and ministry leaders, including preparing materials, organizing meetings, and assisting with communication to volunteers and congregation members.Volunteer Coordination : Help recruit, schedule, and communicate with volunteers for various church ministries and events.Qualifications
Faith and Character : A committed follower of Jesus Christ, actively living out Christian values and aligned with Grace Fellowship's mission and statement of faith.Experience : Experience in a church or nonprofit setting is a plus.Skills : Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with church management software (e.g., Planning Center). Mac-based experience is preferred. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Must be a self-starter and learner.Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.Availability : Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for church events.Working Conditions
Location : Grace Fellowship, West Palm Beach, FL.Hours : Full-time, 40 hours per week, primarily MondayFriday, with occasional weekend or evening responsibilities.Environment : Office setting with frequent interaction with staff, volunteers, and congregation members.
