Our agency is looking to fill a full-time permanent Office Assistant (OA3) vacancy within the Community Corrections Division. This position works for the Spokane Special Needs Unit (SNU) located at 1717 W Broadway Ave Spokane WA 99201.

Under general supervision from the Administrative Assistant 3 (AA3) this position performs duties involved with working at the reception desk and provides advanced clerical support tasks for the unit. Work hours : Monday-Friday 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm.

The Spokane Special Needs Unit (SNU) supervises a caseload of individuals who have a serious mental illness involving cases where individuals have been found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity and Special Finding of Violent Felony cases along with those who have been sentenced to the Mental Health Sentencing Alternative involved with the Spokane Mental Health Court or designated as Reentry Community Supervision Program individuals. This unit works closely with mental health providers in the community.

    Duties

    Provide front desk reception clerical support and data entry.

  • Greet and direct clients general public and / or stakeholders to the appropriate staff.
  • Manage a multi-line phone system.
  • Receive equipment and supplies from vendors.
  • Manage and maintain electronic and physical files.
  • Database entry and retrieval from various systems such as OMNI (Offender Management Network Information) and OnBase.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Six months of clerical experience that includes basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word Outlook and Excel).

  • Telework Details

    This position may be allocated for telework for up to one day each week.
