This position has a base compensation range of $19.00. Salary determination considers your skills, experience, job location, internal pay equity and job architecture. Hellmann Worldwide Logistics regularly reviews our pay ranges against industry standards to ensure fairness. The Trade and Logistics Apprentice is an entry-level position that will rotate amongst various product lines. Responsible for processing learning and applying freight forwarding concepts and principles, customer shipments, customer billing, and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As part of the apprentice program and under close supervision, the incumbent is responsible for performing the following duties in accordance with Hellmann policies and standards :

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED One year of previous experience in freight forwarding industry, logistics or supply chain preferred Completion of any industry related course is an asset
Knowledge, Skills, & Attributes
Organizational skills Time management and prioritization Customer-focused Adaptable / flexible to high-pressured environment Interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Email, and Internet Proficient in world geography, shipping documentation, and Incoterms preferred Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as freight rates, discounts, and other percentages
