As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you'll play a critical role in patient care by evaluating and providing therapeutic services to those with respiratory issues. Your expertise will directly impact the well-being of patients in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assess patients to determine appropriate treatments and develop individualized care plans based on diagnoses.
- Deliver respiratory care services following physician's orders and departmental protocols.
- Monitor patient care plans and equipment, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and comfort.
- Evaluate and adjust respiratory practices and treatments based on patient responses.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions and available community support resources.
- Maintain equipment, participate in inventory management, and adhere to cleaning and sterilization standards.
- Respond to medical emergencies and rapid response situations effectively.
- Work with a focus on safety and alertness at all times.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications :
Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent combination of education and experience.New graduates are welcome to apply; no prior experience required.Physical Requirements :
Effective communication skills for patient interaction and teamwork.Ability to stand, walk, and move frequently; occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.Visual acuity for monitoring patient conditions and equipment.Ability to respond to auditory signals and alarms.Licensure and Certifications :
Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider Certification (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association.Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).State licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner per the relevant state regulations.Schedule :
