Control Center Operator

The Control Center Operator is part of the QE Solar O&M department and will be responsible for real-time remote operations of renewable generating assets. The Control Center Team assures the maximum availability & profitability of photovoltaic & battery operating assets as well as compliant operations aligned with NERC Cybersecurity & Reliability Standards. The Control Center must also operate in compliance with Regional Transmission and ISO Tariffs for reliable operation of generation on the bulk electric Control Center performs 24 / 7 operations. As such the schedule for this position is a modified DuPont schedule comprising rotating day night and on-call shifts.

Travel Requirements : Reliable transportation to and from the QE Office / Control Center. Must live within 45 minutes (drive time) of Scottsdale AZ.

Essential Duties & Approximate Commitment of Time

Operate PV and BESS Systems (50% of time)

• Monitor and operate multiple power plant sites using SCADA systems DAS platforms alarm management and other computer systems to maximize site production and battery energy storage
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (plant managers field staff Portfolio Leads etc.) and external stakeholders (transmission and balancing authorities) to maximize system performance and assure contractual and regulatory compliance
• Perform remote investigations performance analysis & reporting and provide technical support to our field technicians
• Escalate concerns to ensure that projects maintain operations or availability; track and advise on progress against established project models or production targets

Assure Compliance with NERC Regulations and Contractual Requirements (25% of time)

Assist with other centralized QE Solar Operations as required (25% of time)
