Technology Procurement Manager
The Technology Procurement Manager will lead the development and execution of category strategies for technology spend including software, hardware, cloud services, and IT professional services. Partnering with our Product Engineering team, this role is responsible for shaping the company's approach to technology sourcing, vendor management, and cost optimization while enabling innovation and business growth. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep expertise in IT procurement, supplier relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration.
We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office location in either Charlotte, NC or Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and own the end-to-end category strategy for technology spend, including software (SaaS, enterprise applications), hardware, telecom, and cloud services, that ensures alignment with enterprise priorities
- Develop and conduct comprehensive spend analysis, market assessments, and risk evaluations to identify sourcing opportunities and efficiencies
- Define and build short- and long-term category roadmaps aligned with business and Product Engineering objectives
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Execution :
Lead and execute RFx processes, contract negotiations, and supplier selection in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and Product EngineeringTranslate business needs into sourcing strategies that drive value, innovation, and risk mitigation while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsSupplier Relationship & Performance Management :
Develop and manage strategic supplier partnerships to drive continuous improvement and innovationMonitor supplier performance and service delivery against contractual obligations and KPIsLead regular business reviews, manage escalations, oversee renewals, and support supplier rationalization effortsFinancial & Operational Excellence :
Deliver measurable savings, total cost of ownership (TCO) improvements, and operational efficienciesTrack, analyze, and report procurement metrics, category performance, and savings realization in collaboration with FinanceOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Proven experience in building and executing a category strategy for a newly defined categoryExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all organizational levelsStrong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skillsUnderstanding of IT markets, including AI, cloud, software licensing, and managed servicesEducation & Experience :
