DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board’s strategic plan.
- Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- Directly supports curriculum implementation, instructional shifts, and assessment practices at the school level by utilizing daily collaboration time to provide peer support, via classroom visits, modeling, or co-planning, as well as monitoring and guiding PLC work to ensure alignment across coursework of a content area.
- Collaborates monthly with Curriculum Dean to enhance curriculum implementation, instructional shifts, and assessment practices at the district level, identifying areas for targeted support, peer needs, and system-wide continuous improvement opportunities.
- Collaborates monthly with Director of Instruction to establish and monitor horizontal and vertical alignment of curriculum implementation across all learning programs.
- Collaborates with school administration to address progress of curriculum implementation, instructional shifts, and assessment practices of content area PLCs.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Must hold current professional educator license and be a full-time classroom teacher at the middle or high school.Previous successful experience as a teacher, and previous demonstration of school leadership experience preferred.Has completed or is enrolled in district-sponsored mandatory training for this position.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

WORK CALENDAR : 9 Month position with up to 8 days of required summer work, to be determined on a yearly basis by the position supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS : Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
