About The Position

We are seeking a board-certified General Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment in Tennessee. This opportunity starts on Dec 2, 2025, and spans a 10-day assignment with 24-hour call coverage. The schedule includes two blocks : Dec 2 to Dec 7 and Dec 20 to Dec 24, each from 7am to 7am. This position is ideal for a surgeon comfortable with call responsibilities and providing high-quality surgical care in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 24-hour call coverage for surgical cases
  • Manage preoperative and postoperative patient care
  • Respond to urgent and emergent surgical consults
  • Perform general surgical procedures as required
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

  • Must be board certified in General Surgery
  • Active Tennessee medical license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
