Conducts research to identify potential customers and prospects.
Reach out to prospects via phone email and social media to promote our products.
Maintain an understanding of EFG overall capabilities and work with multiple location when necessary to serve the customer as a one-stop source
Work collaboratively with outside sales technical sales and customer service to execute the companys sales and growth initiatives.
Lead the report out of sales project / product development activities from quote through negotiation and receipt of PO.
Support contract review and product realization efforts
Work closely with other EFG team members to ensure that all agreed upon expectations for each order are met and follow the quote.
Collaborate with operations team to improve processes and practices.
Work closely with and assist engineers estimators and other EFG team members to compile offers that meet the customers needs.
Gains customer acceptance by explaining / demonstrating value of product proposals cost savings and operational improvements to win business.
Research market pricing and customer behavior to quote activity and provide detailed analysis.
Perform timely quote follow-ups working with other EFG team members during negotiations to review quotes and make necessary adjustments.
Manage new business opportunities involving quoting communicating product specifications requirements coordinating internal and external part drawings building the bill of materials and defined scope of work cost estimates and customer schedules. Communicate and initiate any customer driven engineering changes.
Perform a variety of clerical / administrative duties that review track and monitor customer opportunities.
Build strong working relationships with clients.
Visit customers to secure new business or resolve issues as needed.
Attends trade shows and other events to promote our products and services.
Provides training and support to other employees and team members.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Must be able to operate a computer / keyboard ability to use the phone and sit for long periods of time. Communicate using speech hearing and vision skills. May also work occasionally on the production floor requiring the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to : safety glasses hearing protection and steel toed work boots or shoes.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. General business hours are 8 : 00AM 5 : 00PM. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet business demands.
Travel
This position requires up to 10% travel.
Required Education and Experience
4-year technical or business degree or equivalent work experience
5-7 years of inside sales experience and account management
Fluent English language and well-spoken with excellent writing skills
Excellent computer systems skills which include MS-Office and ERP systems
Excellent math logic and organizational skills
Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast -paced environment
Understand basic fastener terminology or ability to learn
Preferred Education and Experience
Previous fastener experience
Epicor ERP experience
