All Hands and Hearts is a disaster relief nonprofit. Our program bases are located in the communities we serve, and depending on the role you apply for you may be required to visit and / or live in our communal program environments. Please note that vaccination is required for all in-person work environments, including program bases and offices. You will also be expected to adhere to particular safety protocols (including relating to COVID-19), and should understand your responsibility for the safety of yourself and others around you. We will always provide an option for travel-exempt staff to join meetings and events virtually, to ensure we provide an inclusive environment for those who are unvaccinated or at high risk.

Position Purpose
A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that provides . This position is responsible for developing and overseeing response or recovery projects and management of the field team.

Essential Functions
Develop and monitor scopes of work and project timeline, queue, budget and qualityEnsure all program tracking systems related to projects are updated regularly and maintained and use data to compile regular reportsDeliver project targets within the approved time and budget constraintsEstablish and uphold clear safety practices for project sites in collaboration with Project Coordinator(s), Site Coordinator(s), and Site Supervisor TraineesSupport in the development, implement, and review of program emergency procedures and safety and security protocolsEffectively manage a diverse team to meet the needs of the affected community and empower them to carry out their functions effectively and efficientlyEnsure compliance with legal requirements for projectsOversee training of Site Supervisors and Site Supervisor traineesIdentify and prepare for potential surges in volunteer numbers to ensure consistent engagement in projectsWork with local partners to foster collaboration in support of projectsIdentify and manage subcontractors as needed on a project by project basisWe understand vaccination is the best way to protect our beneficiaries, community members, staff and volunteers, therefore we require all of our on program staff members to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To be considered for this position you must be fully vaccinated. Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience in a relevant field.Related Experience A minimum of two years’ experience working in a disaster response context, preferably with All Hands and Hearts. At least one year of experience in a construction or technical role with project management responsibilities, including budget tracking and reporting. Management experience in a professional setting.Special Competencies / Certifications Must be able to secure and maintain appropriate visas. Must have good written and oral communication skills, confident working with Google Suite, Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel). Applicants need to be responsible, well organized, and have a flexible approach to managing multiple people and tasks, prioritizing them appropriately.
