Estimator
This position is part of the Estimating Team that serves property owners and insurance company representatives, working with team members and cooperating with external administrative entities to deliver a complete, accurate, and profitable estimate package to insurance companies and their policyholders. The Estimator has expertise in the estimating and documentation platforms, managed repair relationships, and job management systems to effectively capture the project scope of work and drive the estimate process.

Responsibilities :
Utilize Xactimate / Symbility to model the Project Manager's scope of work for mitigation, reconstruction, remodeling, and contents estimates with an emphasis on speed, accuracy, and profitabilitySubmit complete estimate packages including all required supporting documentationEnsure adherence to industry standards and managed repair program guidelinesServe as a customer service liaison to insurance adjusters to maintain and grow strategic relationshipsFoster collaborative relationships with insurance adjusters and third party managed repair administrators / QA team membersDrive the estimating process from initial draft through revisions to final approvalCreate preliminary budgetsPerform site visits and field documentation duties as necessary including various visual documentation and material sampling / processingCreate T&M invoice packages including graphical scope diagrams and other supporting documentationContribute to continuous improvement in all aspects of estimating through technology, process improvement, pricing research, and constructive feedbackAssist with training of new and existing employeesOther duties as assignedRequirements : Required :
High school diploma or GEDValid driver's license and insurable motor vehicle recordTechnologyProficiency in Xactimate for both mitigation and reconstruction estimatesExperience with tablet, smartphone (iPad / iPhone preferred but not required) and Windows-based PCBasic software skills using Windows, Office, and web browsers; able to learn new apps and software quicklyMinimum two years of insurance / restoration estimating experiencePreferred :
Bachelor's degree in business, construction, or related fieldPhysical Requirements :
Pass a "fit for duty" exam, including but not limited to : able to walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time; work in low, crouching, or other challenging postures; lift up to 50 pounds, work in a respirator, work in a Tyvek suitAble to access and navigate attics and crawlspacesAble to climb ladders and inspect roofs when necessaryAble to use hand tools and power tools to collect material samplesCompetencies Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
