The Ventura County Community College District (VCCCD) is a public community college district serving residents throughout Ventura County. Minimum Qualifications
To be eligible for student employment you must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (12 semester units or more) during fall and / or spring semesters. You may be eligible for student employment when enrolled in less than 12 units if you participate in a Federal Work Study, CalWorks, or a Disabled Student Programs and Services (DSP&S) program.
1. Positions that include operating a motor vehicle require a clear California Department of Motor Vehicle record, a valid California driver's license, and are restricted to those 18 years of age and older.
2. Positions that include operating motorized equipment (e.g., maintenance, cafeteria) are restricted to those 18 years of age and older.

Classified seasonal employees of the district must have a 6-week break in service before they are eligible for student employment.

CA Government Code Section 18220
CA Government Code section 18220 states : "State agencies, when hiring for internships and student assistant positions, shall give preference to a qualified applicant who is, or has been, a dependent child in foster care, a homeless youth, a formerly incarcerated youth, or a victim of human trafficking. The preference shall be granted to applicants who are up to 26 years of age."
