Staff Accountant

Description

We are seeking a Nonprofit Accountant for a company in Milwaukee, WI. This position offers hybrid flexibility - up to 4 days remote after training.

Job Responsibilities :

Full general ledger accounting and reporting for multiple clients

• Reconcile basic and complex balance sheet accounts
• Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheet and profit and loss statement
• Prepare reconciliations and journal entries
• Payroll administration and reporting
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
• Audit preparation and assistance
• Generate 1099 forms and filing
• . Sales and Use tax reporting
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor or Associate degree in Accounting

2+ years of nonprofit experience
