Automotive Service Manager

Position Overview :

As the Service Manager you will be at the helm of our service department responsible for overseeing all service operations and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. You will lead a dedicated team of service professionals manage daily operations and implement strategies to drive service department success. This role is perfect for a motivated leader with a passion for automotive service and a drive for excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & Management :

Lead mentor and motivate the service team to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve departmental goals.

Oversee daily service operations including scheduling workflow management and staffing.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.

Customer Service Excellence :

Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns resolving issues and maintaining effective communication.

Develop and implement service initiatives to enhance customer experience and loyalty.

Operational Efficiency :

Monitor and manage service department productivity efficiency and quality standards.

Analyze service metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Financial Management :

Develop and manage the service department budget including labor parts and supplies.

Drive profitability by optimizing service operations and upselling additional services and products.

Collaboration & Coordination :

Work closely with other departments including sales and parts to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Ensure compliance with all company policies procedures and industry regulations.

Qualifications : Experience :

Proven experience as a Service Manager or in a similar leadership role within an automotive service environment.

Strong understanding of automotive service operations including repair processes parts management and customer service.

Knowledge of automotive parts and inventory management systems.

Skills :

Exceptional leadership and team management abilities with a focus on employee development and motivation.

Excellent communication interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education :

High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Automotive Technology Business Management or a related field is preferred.

Other Requirements :

A valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) and automotive repair software.
