HVAC Technician - North Carolina - 18-Month Contract
Our client, a global Pharmaceutical manufacturing organization are looking for a talented HVAC Technician to join their expanding team. With continued organizational growth and considerable investment across their portfolio and capital programs this is an extremely exciting opportunity to contribute towards their brand-new manufacturing facility on the East Coast of the United States.
Main Responsibilities :
- Performs routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance of the site’s heating, ventilation, air condition and refrigeration systems and equipment with limited supervision
- Reports complex HVAC issues to senior technicians, management, or plant engineering
- Oversees the installation of equipment, as required
- Leads small projects related to HVAC systems and cold rooms
- Provides recommendations to management to develop HVAC maintenance schedules
- Mentors or provides training to HVAC technicians
- Provides input to develop maintenance and repair plans for HVAC systems and equipment, including cold rooms
- Follows all safety protocols and guidelines
- Routinely tests and certifies HEPA filters to prescribed schedule
- Assists with maintaining contracts with external vendors, as needed
- Conducts work adhering to system air balancing activities under the guidance of senior technicians or management
- Assists site functions to qualify and maintain production ventilation and equipment
Requirements :
High School Diploma / GED4 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repairsKnowledge of electrical, mechanical, and building automation systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of regulations and codes for HVAC workAbility to interpret blueprints and schematicsEffective communication, both written and oralAbility to lift and move heavy equipmentPreferred Education and Experience Requirements :
Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Applied Engineering or another relevant field5+ years of experience with industrial HVAC systemsPrior experience in the pharmaceutical industryComputerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or equivalent work order management experienceExperience with troubleshooting and repairing refrigerant systems, and testing and certifying HEPA filtersIf this role is of interest to you, please apply now!
