Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Chief Clinical Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with a focus on providing comprehensive dietary assessments and interventions for patients across various settings, including long-term care and geriatrics. This role is essential in promoting optimal health outcomes through tailored nutrition plans and health coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess patients' nutritional needs and dietary habits.
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans, including tube feeding protocols when necessary.
  • Provide health coaching to patients, guiding them towards healthier lifestyle choices and weight loss goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for patients, particularly in long-term care settings.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust dietary plans as needed based on physiological changes or feedback.
  • Educate patients and their families about nutrition, dietary restrictions, and meal planning.
  • Stay updated on the latest research in dietetics and apply evidence-based practices in clinical settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is required.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology and its relation to nutrition.
  • Experience working with geriatric populations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with various dietary systems and interventions, including weight management strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
