ICU RN Job Details

Location : Fishers, Indiana (46037) – Indianapolis metro area

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : March 16, 2026

Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (19 : 00 – 07 : 30)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1770 - $1820 per week

Healthcare Setting : ICU with required floating to PCU

Patient Population : Adult patients

Unit Size : 12 beds, average daily census of 7

Charting System : Cerner

Parking : Free onsite parking

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent ICU nursing experience (strong PCU RNs considered)

Active RN license (Indiana or compact state; pending license accepted if willing to obtain before start)

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Previous travel nursing experience required

Ability to float to PCU and other hospital units as needed

Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment

Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

Two supervisor references required

Indiana residents not eligible for this travel nurse position

ICU RN Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU

Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG / ECG

Manage arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and ports

Administer blood products, emergency medications, and titrate cardiac / vasoactive drips

Care for ventilated patients, including ventilator management, suctioning, and high-flow oxygen therapies

Assist with post-cardiac surgery care, cardiac catheterization / interventions, and sheath removal

Implement hypothermia protocols; manage acute and chronic renal failure; follow IV insulin protocols

Perform phlebotomy, wound care (including wound vacs), and infection prevention procedures

Float to PCU and other units as required, adapting to varying patient ratios and acuity levels

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and support staff
