job_description.job_card.job_descriptionActive Physician Assistant certification (NCCPA certified preferred) Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant in cardiothoracic surgery or related surgical specialty Proven experience with standard / open cardiac and thoracic procedures Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH), first assist, and CABG procedures Ability to harvest from the patient's left side (required) Experience with Da Vinci robotics and endoradial procedures is a plus Familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC experience preferred) Active Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain (Virginia PA jobs) Assist in standard and open cardiac and thoracic surgeries as a Physician Assistant Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) and first assist duties during cardiothoracic procedures Support CABG, septomyectomies, and other advanced cardiothoracic interventions Collaborate with the multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Document patient care and surgical procedures in the EPIC EMR system Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical quality, and surgical excellence Benefit from steady income streams and potentially higher rates, mitigating financial uncertainties and instability.
