Certified Inpatient Medical Coder

A company is looking for an Inpatient Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes to complex inpatient visit types

Review provider notes and collaborate with Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) for accurate coding

Educate CDI on regulatory guidelines and ensure compliance with coding standards

Required Qualifications

A minimum of three years' experience in Inpatient Coding at an Academic Medical Center

Accepted certifications include RHIT, RHIA, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC

Excellent computer skills for effective communication with providers and staff

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively

Strong organizational skills and adherence to client Standard Operating Procedures
