Medical Assistant in Eugene, OR

Pearl Street Medical Clinic , of Praxis Health, would like to invite reliable, friendly and energetic Medical Assistants with outstanding people skills to join our team.

Consistent schedule; Full-time, Monday - Friday

Competitive pay; $20-$25 / hour, depending on experience

About the Role

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting providers and ensuring seamless patient care. Your responsibilities will include :

Rooming patients quickly and efficiently

Performing Electrocardiogram (EKG) procedures and vital sign measurement

Updating medical records

Assisting with minor procedures and administering injections

Supporting patients through their visit, including discharge and follow-ups

Managing medical supplies and ensuring a clean work environment

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program in medical assisting preferred

At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or CNA

Ability to multi-task and provide support to multiple providers

Strong customer service skills and attention to detail

BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred

General Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch.
  • The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment : Combination of medical office and exam / procedure room settings.

OSHA Category

This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and / or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
