Job Summary : Looking for a 6+ month contractor (software test engineer) to help augment our SQA team.

Job Summary & Responsibilities

• Perform requirements-based and system level testing across projects and platforms ensuring quality and efficiency for Onto's Inspection Business Unit solutions
• Cross-functional collaboration with software, hardware, manufacturing and applications teams to validate software
• Analyze and verify software requirements for testability, clarity and completeness
• Develop comprehensive test plans for new features and products
• Investigate, reproduce, log and escalate issues / defects
• Develop efficient test strategies (test cases and procedures) for the different sub-systems comprising the product
• Develop and execute automated and manual tests, regression, functional, and acceptance tests
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure high-quality and reliable operation
• Participate in the design and implementation of new features and functionalities
• Perform design / code reviews for all automation scripts and manual test cases, collaborating with systems engineers, software developers, and other technical staff
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in software development and hardware-software integration
