JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Civil Design Engineer, you will independently lead complex engineering projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities include developing creative designs, preparing detailed construction plans and specifications, generating cost estimates, and producing high-quality reports. You'll apply standard engineering techniques and sound judgment to tailor solutions to unique project challenges.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare design plans, specifications, engineering estimates, project schedules, and reports for civil and coastal projects.
- Conduct engineering design analyses, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
- Assist with environmental assessments and regulatory permit applications.
- Support construction management activities, including fieldwork and inspections.
- Analyze and resolve operational concerns related to engineering projects.
- Represent the company to government agencies, clients, and at industry events.
- Contribute to customer acquisition and relationship management.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience (10+ years for senior-level roles).Strong design and analysis skills, including structural analysis.Proven ability to solve complex design challenges with creativity and sound judgment.Experience with direct client engagement, including contract negotiations and scope development.Ability to prepare detailed engineering documentation and reports.NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Hawaii.Experience in coastal engineering or related environmental permitting.Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools.Background in sustainable or innovative engineering solutions.Experience presenting at conferences or industry symposia.
