Facility : Western Region Detention Facility at San Diego

Pay : 38.22 per hour

Bonus (if applicable) : $2,000 SIGN-ON

H&W : 4.41 per hour This position is eligible to receive a Health & Welfare Benefit Rate per hour on all hours paid up to 40 hours per week and not to exceed 2,080 hours per year.

Shift : Various Available

Role and Responsibilities

Working alongside our Registered Nurse (RN), youll play a vital part in providing the highest level of care to inmates / detainees while putting a special focus on maintaining our safe and secure workplace.

• Develop nursing care plans with guidance from the RN.
• Perform complete physical assessment and medical history.
• Provide nursing care within your capacity and refer other medical problems to the appropriate physician.
• Make sure prescribed medications are administered as instructed.
• Periodically evaluate patients' symptoms, reactions, and progress, and report problems to management.
• Securely administer medication, taking precautions against drug hoarding and trafficking.
• Follow industry and company accreditation policies.
• Document all detainee / inmate contacts and keep medical records confidential.
